Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a 15-year-old female student in a school setting. This is a full-time opportunity supporting a student with complex medical needs throughout the school day.

Student Needs

The student:

• Uses a wheelchair
• Receives nutrition and/or medication through a G-tube
• Has a tracheostomy
• Requires ventilator support
• Requires consistent 1:1 nursing monitoring and care throughout the school day

Schedule & Transportation

• Standard school day: 8:00 AM–2:30 PM
• With transportation: 7:15 AM–3:15 PM
• Transportation participation is optional, but nurses who are able to provide transportation support are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous 1:1 nursing care and monitoring throughout the school day
• Manage and support the student's G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator-related needs
• Monitor the student's condition and respond appropriately to changes in health status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within scope of practice
• Follow the student's individualized healthcare plan and school health protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and healthcare professionals
• Support the student's safety, comfort, and participation in the school environment

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license
• Experience with medically complex pediatric patients preferred
• Experience with tracheostomy, ventilator, and G-tube care strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and ability to work independently
• Ability to provide attentive and consistent 1:1 care throughout the school day
